The other day my niece, who btw is 16, accused me of labeling people. Hum… are you kidding me young lady? Me?!?
I thought of it for several days and realize…well, she may have some point about that… some point… a little…
Lets take a look regarding ice creams:
The picky one: Wants what is best and can turn the city upside down to find the best ice cream in Lisbon. Look no more: Fragoleto
Where: Rua da Prata 61
The well solved: Doesn’t have problems eating an ice-cream that has the shape of a flower. Thumbs up for him! Go to Amorino
Where: Rua Augusta, 209
The relaxed one: Everything is ok, he just wants to taste something fresh and sweet. Try Olá ice creams, a Portuguese brand that can be found in almost every pastry.
The preppy: The selfie guy that wants to appear with his girlfriend in the trendiest ice-cream spot in town. Go to Santini (and be patient in the lines).
Where: Rua do Carmo 9
The healthy one: He has a thing for natural and traditional products, even if it’s a little more expensive. It’s ok because it’s a healthier option. In this case go to Paletaria where traditional ice-creams, the one with the stick, are made from fresh fruit. And there is a detox version, with no sugar.
Where: Rua Saraiva de Carvalho, 120A
The adventurous: Always on the look for new experiences and likes to explore new flavours. In Cais do Sodré look for Gelato Davvero. They have crazy flavours like parmesan or Moet & Chandon.
Where: Praça São Paulo 1
In Portugal be Portuguese: Likes to live like locals and wants to discover the Portuguese way of living. Look for Gelataria Portuguesa, on the way to St. George’s Castle, and try flavours like coffee, pinaple or strawberry.
Where: R. Santa Cruz do Castelo 15

Um dia destes, a minha sobrinha, que por acaso está com 16 anos, acusou-me de rotular as pessoas. Humm… estás a brincar comigo, não? Eu?!?
Fiquei a pensar no assunto durante alguns dias e cheguei à conclusão… bem, se calhar é capaz de ter alguma razão… alguma… assim pequenina…
Vamos analisar a situação com… gelados:
O esquisitinho: Só se contenta com o melhor e é capaz de virar a cidade do avesso à procura do melhor gelado de Lisboa. Não procures mais. Vai à Fragoleto.
O bem resolvido: Não tem qualquer problema em comer um gelado com a forma de uma flor e ser olhado de lado na rua. É assim mesmo! Procura a Amorino
O descontraído: Está tudo bem, ele só quer um gelado fresco e doce. Experimenta os gelados da Olá, uma marca nacional à venda em qualquer pastelaria da cidade.
O betinho: Gosta de tirar selfies e quer aparecer ao lado da namorada nos locais mais in da cidade. Vai ao Santini (e tem paciência na fila de espera).
O saudável: Procura tudo o que seja produtos tradicionais e naturais, mesmo que sejam um pouco mais caros. Não faz mal pois é uma opção mais saudável. Neste caso vai à Paletaria, onde os gelados tradicionais, sim, aqueles do pauzinho, são feitos com fruta fresca. E também há uma versão detox, sem açúcar.
O aventureiro: Está sempre à procura de novas experiências e gosta de provar novos sabores. No Cais do Sodré procura o Gelato Davvero. Têm sabores meio malucos, como parmesão ou Moet & Chandon.
Em Portugal sê português: Gosta de viver como um local e quer descobrir como os portugueses vivem. Procura a Gelataria Portuguesa, a caminho do Castelo de S. Jorge, e prova sabores como café, ananás ou morango.
